I quit my job on Wednesday the 26th. Everyone kept telling me how much they will miss me. (I'm going to miss them too. the job was terrible but I met some great people). And I'm not being replaced. Wow I want to know how that goes! One guy said I was the backbone of the department.ha. I took a few pics and they gave me a little going away party. SW gave me a Josh Groban cd as a going away/christmas present. She was asking me what I wanted for Christmas the day before and I never told her. I did mention how much I loved Josh Groban and how there was one cd that I didnt have. so she got it for me. the "Awake" cd.
I went to see "four christmases" with a friend on Wednesday the 26th..opening night. Good movie. I could totally see stuff like that happening. I think its probably going to be a funny experience when (if) I bring my significant other to meet my family and when I meet their family.
I also moved out of my residence in Rock Hill on Wednesday and Friday. I'm now living with my parents until I leave.
I did a lot of shopping on Black Friday. I got a winter coat, a dress for my party, a suitcase, and some clothes-dresses and work clothes. I saved over $200 at belk! wow. Everything I got at Belk was on clearance. I love sales! A $94 dress for $10! and a $108 dress for $13.49..feels good to save!
On December 1st (Monday) they declared that we are officially in a recession. We've been in a recession since December of 2007. This news caused the stocks to drop over 600 points. wow.
I'm ready for my party. I'll be 27 in l0 days and I'm having a party uptown in Charlotte. (when I move to South Korea I'll be 28-youre a year old when youre born) I got an awesome dress!! I havent dressed up in a long time so its going to be nice. I invited a lot of people but I don't think many will actually show up. I've got about 10 people who say they are coming. Then there are still about 30 who havent even replied to the invitation and 22 people on the "maybe" list. There are about 40 on the "no" list. I was hoping a lot of people would show up but oh well. My party isnt actually costing me anything because its at a club. I will get in free. My guests will get a little discount on the cover. I wish I could afford to throw a nice party where I reserve a club and invite a ton of people but I cant afford that-I'm not as rich as all of my other friends who throw parties all the time. Maybe for my 28th birthday.
And no one is even throwing me a formal "going away" party. that really sucks. and no one wants to celebrate my birthday. I really need to get better friends.
