Just a quick update:
I left the USA on December 16th. That was quicker than I expected. My recruiter pulled strings to get my interview in Atlanta for the 15th of December. I was going to eat Christmas dinner early with my family on December 16th but I woke up on the 15th and found out that I was leaving on the 16th in the morning.
I arrived in South Korea on the 18th of December. I was flying for 18 hours! Plus there was a 14 hour time difference so it looks like it took me 2 days to get here!
I started out at one school. I stayed there for one semester. They were very disorganized.
I just started at a new school in Seoul on March 2nd. I've been here 2 1/2 weeks so far. classes are okay. When I first got there things were rough! I had to stay in a hotel for 3 nights. I didn't have a bed the first night in my new officetel. I didn't get cable or internet until I'd been in my new officetel for almost 2 weeks. The person in charge of foreign teachers at my school gets on my nerves. I had my first evaluation yesterday.
I'm counting down till I get to come home! 49 1/2 weeks! I am so ready to be home!
Its tough living over here. Im confused all the time. No one speaks English. The food is a lot different. And I don't really like my job!
Well I won't have that many updates on here. I write in another blog and I dont feel like double posting.
I'll back to using this blog regularly in March of 2010.
